Frequently asked questions

How do you take payment?

Payment can be made automatically via credit card monthly or by check six months in advance.

What is polling interval?

Each web browser can request an immediate update to the in out board status by hitting the refresh button at any point. Any changes to a board are displayed immediately. If the board is updated via the refresh button any changes since last update are displayed immediately.

Anybody watching the board (without hitting the refresh button) will converge over time to the current status – this typically this will take 5 minutes and is called the polling interval.

The polling interval may change during the day, early morning it may be shorten, as more “in” updates are processed. In the night it may increase basically saving bandwidth and processing time.

If your company is trying to save on data transmission costs you can turn polling interval off – and instruct your staff to refresh button instead before making a decision based on board display.

What about custom skins?

The system allows the look of the in out board to be changed and to include corporate branding. The system is fairly flexible here. With this option you can have the board look anyway you want.

You can use custom pictures for each status or words etc.

We reserve the right to edit/change any custom skin. Usually images will have to be performance maximized.

Foreign language support?

The system supports foreign languages including right to left languages.

Active Directory Deployment?

Active directory is a user management system for windows networks. Its is used in larger organizations to control access to resources. Depending on the amount of detail that active directory stores the system can use this as a source for the user information that the system displays. You run a program with an ad authenticated user which uploads the required information to the in out board system. This program can scheduled to run as required to keep the in out board upto date.
